General Program Information
Aztec’s Introduction to Healthcare Occupations course offers a comprehensive overview of the diverse career paths in the healthcare industry. This course introduces learners to a variety of healthcare roles, from clinical positions such as nurses and medical assistants to non-clinical positions like healthcare administrators and medical billing specialists. Whether you’re considering a hands-on role with patients or a behind-the-scenes career in healthcare management, this course will help you explore the skills and qualifications needed to succeed in the healthcare field. Students will gain a deeper understanding of healthcare systems, common job responsibilities, and the required certifications and education, helping them make informed decisions about their healthcare career paths.
In this program students will complete a total of 2 Units. Although this program is self paced, it is highly recommended that students spend a minimum of 10 hrs per week working on the course. It is also recommended that students use a laptop or desktop computer, If you do not have access to one of these devices we can facilitate access to a computer lab at an adult education facility near you.
